I’m running my first Marathon! In October 2024, I will be running the Chicago Marathon with the Run Domestic Violence Out of Town team. On a daily basis, my job consists of working with unaccompanied minors that not only flee their horrific country conditions, but have also been victims of Domestic Violence. Advocating Against Domestic Violence established the Survivor Crisis Fund for survivors of domestic violence to address critical gaps in the safety net. The Fund directly supports survivors and their families who are in need of immediate assistance. Funds raised by Run Domestic Violence Out of Town runners will go towards the Survivor Crisis Fund, to ensure that survivors of domestic violence and their families can stay safely housed with their basic needs met, and live a healthy life.
