Even though Domestic Violence Awareness Month is over, the season of giving is just getting started. Join us as we celebrate our appeal season, including Giving Tuesday on November 28th. This is a time to bring our community together, share stories of survivors, highlight some of our work, and take a stand towards fighting gender-based violence.
Our annual appeal campaign will support our key programs like the Centralized Training Institute, the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline, Survivor Fund, Policy & Advocacy, and our Housing Advocacy work.
These programs have reached a wide range of survivors with various needs. After our Survivor Fund drastically expanded this year, we have been able to serve 6,334 applicants! Among survivor fund applicants, these were the top five needs for financial assistance:
