Leading Together Partnership Breakfast

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and in recognition of this important event, The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence hosts its Leading Together Partnership Breakfast to End Domestic Violence.

During the Breakfast, the Network convenes its supporters, member organizations, champions, and community leaders to celebrate accomplishments and set bold goals for the future - to ultimately end domestic violence. The Leading Together Partnership Breakfast is a perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals in the community who are committed to ending gender-based violence.

Leadership Awards

Each year, The Network is pleased to present its Leadership Awards to members of the community who have made a significant impact in the lives of survivors of gender-based violence. Past award winners include Senator Ram Villivalam and IL House Representative Kam Buckner for their leadership in obtaining transportation support for survivors.

This year we are pleased to honor the following Leadership Award recipients:

• Renowned author, performer, educator, advocate, and survivor, Nikki Patin, whose work in the gender-based violence space has impacted thousands of survivors
• Commissioner Brandie V. Knazze of the Department of Family and Support Services for her commitment to expanding programs serving gender-based violence survivors and her leadership in expanding the Survivor Fund
• CBS Chicago for their consistent and committed reporting on violence against women and steadfast investigation into domestic violence cases
